I couldn’t decide between my two latest favorite stamp sets – Hey Chick and Sealed with Love, so I incorporated both! My little chick is all ready for Valentine’s Day!
I started with a Whisper White card base and layered Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler. I ran the Cherry Cobbler sheet through the Big Shot with the Hexagon Embossing Folder. This gives it such dimension, it almost feels pillowy!
I stamped the Sealed with Love sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink and ran the mini note card through the Big Shot. I also ran the same die through with a small piece of the Glassine paper for a soft backdrop to the card.
I layered a white square onto a black square for my chick image. I stamped the chick in Archival Black ink so I could watercolor the body without worrying about the color bleeding. I ran some Linen Thread with a wooden heart from the Sending Love Embellishments around the embossed piece. Then I popped the chick image up with some dimensionals. I added a few black adhesive gems and that was it!
