This design came from an idea I had for a card to be used in a class for my friends at the local Senior Center. This was the final result, but it was born from a card (previous post) that I just got too carried away with! I decided to keep it a little simpler… and loved the way it turned out! 🙂
This card just has ‘SPRING’ all over it! This stamp set is from the Basket Bunch Bundle. And remember, buying the bundle always saves you 10% than purchasing separately.
I started out with So Saffron card stock and layered a piece of So Saffron DSP from the Subtles collection. I used the basket and a couple of the flower dies first, then I stamped them and then ran through the Big Shot. Then I stamped some leaves and the grass. I colored the cut flowers and stamped images with a few different Watercolor Pencils. I used regular Chocolate Chip ink for the stamping of the flowers, but next time, I think I would use Archival Black so I don’t have to worry about the lines leaking into the color.
I glued the flowers into the basket randomly and then glued the whole basket to the layering piece. I stamped the sentiment from the Basket Bunch stamp set in Pumpkin Pie ink to pick up one of the colors of the flowers.
I popped some white sequins on the white layer and added some Washi tape to both the top and bottom of the card…. and that was it! Super cute and easy!
