This is another one of those soft and muted color cards for Valentine’s Day! This card is from the Sealed with Love Stamp Set and is my January Featured Bundle of the Month! I started with a Very Vanilla card stock and since I knew I wanted it to have a landscape orientation, I chose a paper from the Falling in Love DSP that had the design (in this case the falling hearts) weighted on one side.
I stamped the Happy Valentine’s Day sentiment in Blushing Bride. Then I cut out a circle with the sentiment, from the Stitched Shapes Framelits set using the same sheet of DSP, but this time, I used a piece that showed just the background and no hearts. I did this to keep the soft design flowing. I popped this circle up with some dimensionals on top of a slightly larger circle that I cut out from the Blushing Bride Card stock. (This ink and card stock match so perfectly with so many of the sheets from this Falling in Love DSP!)
Before I adhered this layer to the card stock, I ran a soft pink satin ribbon around the DSP and then glued the two stitched circle shapes onto the less-busy corner of the paper. I tied some Linen Thread and narrow Ivory ribbon around the pink satin ribbon to make a pretty double bow. I accented the opposite corners with some tiny adhesive pearls for a little bit of ‘pop’!
I also added a stamped heart from the Sealed with Love set on the inside of the card. I used the Blushing Bride ink to continue the soft and subtle look for the finished project!
