This is my favorite design so far from the Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set. This stamp set and matching thinlits bundle is called the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle and is available from the Occasions Catalog on January 4th — after the Sale-A-Bration event goes live! The Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies cut out these beautiful images flawlessly. The first thing I did was use the new Watercolor Pencils and covered a piece of watercolor paper, which was cut to layer on top of a piece of Mint Macaron card stock. I filled in just enough to cover both pieces of the dragonfly from the thinlits set. I used an aqua pen to blend the colors, keeping one side a little lighter to use as the underbelly of the dragonfly.

I used the Big Shot to cut through both thinlits and adhered them together using a fine tip glue pen down the middle. I did this so that the wings had a little lift to them. I used the Mint Macaron ink and the background stamp from the set and just stamped randomly around the three corners. I used Crumb Cake ink to stamp the sentiment ‘Happy Birthday’ from the Sweet Cupcake stamp set. The Dragonfly Dreams stamp set does have some really cute sentiment stamps… but I really needed a birthday stamp this time! 🙂

I tied some linen thread into a bow under the sentiment and added a few little adhesive gems. I also added a little Wink of Stella to the dragonfly body to add just a hint of glitter! (So hard to get the Wink of Stella sparkle to show up in photos!)
