This card is a ‘Change It Up!’ card from the previous post, where I just brightened it up a little by giving it more of a contemporary feel as opposed to the traditional holiday card. The thinlits are from Pretty Pines and the stamps are from Christmas Pines.
The base layer is Crumb Cake and I just changed the orientation to landscape (gives it more of a note card feel). I switched out the darker Kraft layering piece to a crisp white that was embossed with the Brick Wall folder.
I sponged the pine cones and the branches with a little bit of Old Olive ink onto Crumb Cake paper, added a short sentiment that reads ‘season of joy’ and some random stamps from the set in the upper and lower corners. I wrapped it up with some Cherry Cobbler twine and added a cute little trinket from the Stampin’ Up! Christmas Trinkets.
To finish it, I just added a strip of the patterned paper from the Designer Series Candy Cane Lane on to the inside of the card and repeated one of the stamps from the front of the card. I just stamped randomly on the patterned paper. I also used the beautiful wreath stamp from the set on the front side of the envelope. These stamps make it so easy and so pretty with the two step stamping, you can never get enough! I have to force myself to stop sometimes! 🙂
So that’s it! I took a very traditional Holiday card and brightened it up for a contemporary feel! I hope you like it!
