LOLLYPOP PAPER AND INK

Jar of Love Thank You

Hi there and welcome to my very first blog post!

This is the stamp set that drew me in to the Stampin’ Up! community! I just fell in love with the flower and Mason jar stamps and dies.  So, it’s understandable that I just had to make my first demonstrator card with this stamp set called ‘Jar of Love’ and the thinlit set, called ‘Everyday Jars’. I bought the bundle to save 10% and so happy I did as this set can be used over and over again – in so many different ways!

Jar of Love and Everyday Jars Thank You Card

I started with a Whisper White card base measuring 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 and scored it at 4-1/4 (finished card size is 5-1/2 x 4-1/4). Next, I layered a piece of DSP from the ‘Subtles DSP’ stack. I cut this piece at 5-1/4 x 4 and I rounded the edges using a standard corner rounder. Then, I cut out all the flower dies and Mason jar dies using the ‘Everyday Jars’ framelits. I used the DSP again on the inside of the card by placing a ribbon strip of paper across the bottom of the inside opening.

I stamped the flower images using a MISTI (so the 2-step stamping process was easy peezy). I used Stampin’ Up! ink pads ‘Soft Sky’ and ‘Pool Party’ for the flowers. I used Kraft color ink on the jar stamp outline and ‘Soft Sky’ again for the water. I wanted the water line to be very subdued, so I stamped off first and then stamped the inside of the jar. I stamped some leaves right onto the patterned paper and then arranged the flowers so they looked like they were just popping out of that jar!

Before I glued the jar down, I wrapped some thin twine around the neck of the jar and tied a bow. I cut out a stitched rectangle die for the sentiment and added ‘thank you very much’ in Kraft ink. I popped that up with some dimensionals and placed it in the upper right hand corner of the card. I also added another one of these tiny flower cut outs to the flap of the envelope just for fun!

Stampin' Up! Jar of Love and Everyday Jars Thank You Card

I wanted to see how this card looked with a monochromatic feel to it, but I am sure this design would be fabulous with different bright color flowers and patterned paper! That will be on my to-try list for sure!

I have listed below all the Stampin’ Up! products that were used to make this card. If you would like to order any of these products, I would very much appreciate the opportunity to have you shop through me. Just click the ‘Shop Online’ link at the top of the page.

I hope this card gets your creative juices jumpin’! I would love your feedback at any time. Please leave a comment here if you have a minute! Thanks so much and have a great day stamping!
