This is another fun and easy card to put together with the special added interest of a design using the new Stampin’ Up! Embossing Paste.
I used a Soft Sky re-inker for the mixing with the embossing paste. This is such a pretty ink color and makes for an even prettier image when using this paste. I used a design sheet from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. Since the image was definitely the focal point, I arranged the mask to cover about two-thirds of the card. I used Pool Party card stock for the card base and also for the coordinating ribbon, since I wanted just a hint of color change between the focal image and the card stock.
And since the image was such a show stopper, I used a very subtle sentiment image from the Vertical Greeting stamp set. I stamped the sentiment in Basic Black Archival Ink for a clean, crisp look. I layered it with alternating Basic Black card stock and a piece from the Whole Lot Of Lovely DSP. I finished it off with a few of the new Black Rhinestone Jewels (from the Holiday Catalog, which will be going live on Friday, September 1st.)
