Today’s card was entered into this week’s #tictactoechallenge #tttc005! I chose the lower left diagonal line for my design (birthday, die-cut and ribbon). Hope you like it! 🙂
I am falling deeply for this Whole Lot of Lovely DSP. This design, in particular is my favorite. I love the soft falling flowers, which make for an easy choice when deciding which color to pick up on… Pool Party it is! 🙂
I’m sure you know by now how I feel about square cards…. love em’! Did you know that it will cost a few more cents to mail a square card? I do think it’s worth it, so here I go again 🙂 . I started with a 10″ x 5″ piece of Whisper White card stock and scored at the 5″ mark for a 5″ x 5″ square.
I cut a second piece of Whisper White at 4-7/8″ x 4-7/8″ and ran that through the Big Shot in the Softly Falling Textured Embossing Folder and adhered that to the card base.
I cut a piece of Whole Lot of Lovely DSP at 4-5/8″ x 2-1/4″ and adhered that to a piece of Pool Party card stock measuring 4-7/8″ x 2-1/2″.
I ran a strip of the beautiful Pool Party Stitched Satin Ribbon around both layers and tied a bow before adhering the layers to the card base.
I used the ‘It’s Your Birthday’ stamp from the Celebration Time stamp set and cut that with the cake shape from the Celebration Thinlits Dies. I stamped in Pool Party ink and added a little cake tray outline with the Pool Party Stampin’ Write Marker (from the Subtles Stampin’ Write Markers set).
I popped up the cake stand with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals, added a few Pool Party Enamel Dots (and one heart 🙂 ) and I was done! I like to line the envelope flap when the DSP is so darn adorable… and this was no exception! I’m really happy the way this turned out and plan to pop it in the mail this week for my close friend’s upcoming July birthday!
I hope you liked today’s card! I have the items listed below. When you do make a purchase, please remember to use the July Host Code – SDJEDMAN so that I can continue sending a free thank you gift at the end of the month! 🙂

Gorgeous card Lori. I Amy have to add that paper to my wishlist!
Just a question though – should the DSP layer be 4 5/8 x 2 1/4?
lori.pinto@gmail.com says
Thanks, Pam! You are absolutely correct…. should have read 4-5/8″ x 2-1/4″! Thanks so much for the pick up on that! 🙂
